Rider Partner Agreement

Draft. This document is pending review by a Nigerian-qualified lawyer and is not final legal text.

Last updated: Needs input: launch date

1. Independent Contractor Status

Riders using the Okim Logistics platform operate as independent contractors, not as employees, agents, or partners of Okim Logistics (operating under Okim Global World). Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment relationship.

2. Eligibility Requirements

To ride on the Okim platform, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Own or have legal use of a roadworthy motorcycle, bike, or tricycle
  • Hold a valid rider's license and vehicle particulars
  • Provide valid means of identification
  • Pass Okim Logistics' verification review

3. Acceptance and Rejection of Jobs

Riders may accept or decline any delivery request offered to them. Okim Logistics does not guarantee a minimum number of job offers or income.

4. Conduct Standards

Riders must:

  • Handle all packages and orders with care
  • Treat customers, vendors, and other riders respectfully
  • Follow all applicable traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Not open, tamper with, or misappropriate any package or order in transit
  • Confirm delivery accurately (per the platform's proof-of-delivery method)

5. Payment and Payouts

  • Riders are paid per completed delivery, at the rate shown before accepting each job.
  • Payouts are made to the bank account provided during onboarding.
  • Payout schedule: Needs input: confirmed payout schedule — manual withdrawal vs. fixed weekly run

6. Vehicle and Equipment

Riders are solely responsible for the maintenance, insurance (where applicable), and legal compliance of their own vehicle. Okim Logistics does not provide vehicles.

7. Suspension and Termination

Okim Logistics may suspend or deactivate a rider's account for violation of this Agreement, repeated customer complaints, fraudulent activity, or failure to maintain valid documentation. Riders may stop using the platform at any time.

8. Liability

Riders are responsible for their own conduct while making deliveries. Okim Logistics is not liable for accidents, injuries, or damages arising from a rider's operation of their vehicle, except as required by law.

9. Taxes

Riders are responsible for reporting and paying any taxes applicable to their earnings under Nigerian law.

10. Changes to This Agreement

Okim Logistics may update this Agreement from time to time. Continued use of the rider app after changes constitutes acceptance.
